Did president William Ruto save Mombasa?


In 2019, the Kenyan government shifted cargo clearance operation from port of Mombasa to inland port of Nairobi and Naivasha. In one of his first act as president while carrying out one of his campaign promises president William Ruto ordered cargo containers from incoming ships to be emptied at the Kilindini Habor its original home. This was declared on the September 15,2022.

What exactly is Mombasa without its port? This is the question residence have been asking for the past 5 years. The port being one of the major sources of income and without that we saw how the economy deteriorated, because what is left the beach is it Mama Ngina waterfront, the county doesn't even have a stadium .so bring back the port was a life saver.Now there is a chance to pay back the 4.7billion debt its owed
