Another Close Call !
It’s not over Yet!

Yesterday’s 2-1 loss to Manchester City may have looked like another unlucky night for Arsenal, but it could end up meaning much more than just dropped points.
Arsenal were not completely outplayed. They had chances, moments of control, and even managed to respond after going behind. But football at the highest level is about taking your opportunities, and once again Arsenal failed to do that in a game that mattered most.
Manchester City showed why they remain champions. They stayed calm under pressure, took advantage of Arsenal’s mistakes, and found a way to win. Arsenal, on the other hand, looked nervous in the key moments. The scoreline was harsh because on another day Arsenal could have left with a draw or even a win, but luck can only explain so much.
The bigger issue is that this result feels familiar. Arsenal have now had several big opportunities against City over the last few seasons and continue to fall short. At some point, fans have to ask whether this team has gone as far as it can under Mikel Arteta.

Arteta deserves credit for rebuilding Arsenal and making them competitive again. He brought them back into title conversations and created a squad with young talent and ambition. But football is ultimately judged on trophies, not progress. If Arsenal keep coming close without winning, then serious conversations about change will naturally happen.
This loss may hurt now, but it could also become a turning point. Arsenal can either continue trusting the same process and risk more disappointment, or decide that a new manager could be the final step needed to turn them into champions.
Because while the 2-1 result had an element of bad luck, the bigger truth is simple: City believed they would win, and Arsenal still looked like a team hoping they might.
