Climate change

The earth has been subjected to many changes, but one of these changes is the global warming. This paper will discuss about how global warming has affected our lives. Also we are going to talk about the effect it has had on human health, also how do humans can adapt to this situation.

Changes in earth’s temperature have been known for many centuries now. It varies from place to place. If you go to the mountains there it will be cold and if you go there you will find cold at night and hot during the day. Even animals are not immune to these changes. We can see that the animals are adapting fast, like the rhinos, they move more slowly, their heart beats slower and so on but still they still survive. Because of this, animals are suffering. They can’t adapt to the changing world because of the weather conditions or because of the change of season and so on.

Global warming is a natural term. But since humans started using fossil fuels to power machines, factories and transportation of goods, the air on earth is heating up a lot. This means the greenhouse gases in the air are increasing as well as the amount of carbon dioxide in the air. All this happens naturally but when all this happens that can create too much heat in the atmosphere. So people used charcoal briquettes to produce electricity and now we are emitting some carbon emissions from burning them. These are causing the global warming. Of course with some other gases like nitrogen oxide and some ozone. Global warming is something that cannot be controlled by us. For example coal is not available everywhere because of climate change. There is no alternative for it. Humans can only control CO2 emission in small amounts because of this there wouldn’t be enough to balance the environment. One way to reduce the emissions is to use renewable energy sources. Electricity is mostly green and wind energy is mostly clean which is why it is the best option in reducing CO2 emissions. Solar power would provide most of solar energy at night and sunlight would make it possible to have plants that would consume less fuel, leading to the growth of trees which reduces the production of CO2.

Windmills and wind turbines generate significant energy when the wind blows. Some studies show solar panels may be able to cut down energy use to almost zero. In addition renewable energy such as hydroelectricity and bioenergy could help to power the demand of renewable energy. However even without these renewables, we need to lower our energy consumption. The main causes of deforestation are the expansion of agriculture and livestock raising through illegal land grabbing. Trees are vital to maintaining biodiversity, improving soil fertility and absorbing carbon dioxide. Cutting down trees leads to loss of water. Loss of water leads to floods, droughts and extreme temperatures leading to severe forest fires. To prevent and reduce this deforestation can be decreased by planting trees and replanting crops on lands where it has been reclaimed. Deforestation affects wildlife, and cutting down forests disrupts migratory routes.

Earth would become hotter without any trees. Scientists believe more than half of world population will get hotter than what we expected two centuries ago. Earth is getting warmer because of excess carbon dioxide that has accumulated over the years. Excess carbon dioxide doesn’t just cause global warming this way these emissions add pressure on
